The year 2025 has been marked by a series of unprecedented weather events. Intense heatwaves swept across Europe, drying up decades-old street trees. A super typhoon that struck South Asia destroyed the livelihoods of tens of thousands of people within just a few hours. In Africa, relentless drought exposed riverbeds and accelerated a growing food crisis. Even more alarming is that such conditions are no longer temporary “weather anomalies,” but are becoming the new standard—the new normal—for the world we must continue to live in. |
