현재 아트선재센터에서는 《하종현 5975》가 개최되고 있습니다. 전시를 통해 회화의 평면성 너머를 탐구하고자한 작가의 실험 정신을 살펴볼 수 있습니다. 작가의 작품에 담긴 시대적 메시지를 들여다보며 그가 남긴 시간의 흔적과 물질성의 이야기를 새롭게 발견하실 수 있길 바랍니다.
Currently, Ha Chong-Hyun 5975 is being held at Art Sonje Center. This exhibition, which highlights Ha Chong-Hyun's early works, allows us to explore the artist's experimental spirit in his attempts to transcend flat painting. By delving into the historical messages and material explorations embedded in Ha's work, we hope you will discover new insights into the traces of time and the stories of materiality he has left behind.

3월 22일 토요일 오후 2시에는 솔로몬 R. 구겐하임재단의 큐레이터 안휘경과 도쿄대학교 융합문화학과 교수 켄지 카지야의 전시 연계 강연이 진행됩니다. 안휘경은 1960-70년대 하종현의 작업에 내재된 실험 정신을 탐구하며, 포스트미니멀리즘 그리고 개념 미술과의 연관성을 고찰합니다. 켄지 카지야는 1968년 도쿄 국립근대미술관에서 열린 《한국현대회화전》에 참여한 이후, 하종현이 일본 미술계와 어떻게 교류했으며 어떠한 방식으로 자신만의 독특한 예술적 언어를 발전시켰는지에 관해 발표합니다.

On March 22nd at 2 PM, there will be a lecture in conjunction with the exhibition by Kyung An and Kenji Kajiya. Kyung An will explore the experimental spirit inherent in Ha Chong-hyun’s works from the 1960s and 70s, examining the connection between process-oriented Post-Minimalism and Conceptual Art. Kenji Kajiya will investigate how Ha interacted with the Japanese art scene after participating in Contemporary Korean Painting(1968) at the National Museum of Modern Art in Tokyo, and how he developed his own unique artistic language.

2021년부터 활동해 온 시각 연구 밴드 이끼바위쿠르르의 작업 세계를 조망한 출판물 『이끼바위쿠르르: 함께』가 출간 되었습니다! <열대 이야기>(2022), <해초 이야기>(2022) 등 작가의 주요 작업 이미지와 소개 글이 수록되어 있습니다. 그와 더불어, 미학자 김남시의 비평글과 이번 전시를 공동 기획한 김지나의 큐레토리얼 에세이, 그리고 독립 큐레이터 심소미가 작가와 나눈 대화를 읽어보실 수 있습니다.
ikkibawiKrrr: In Togetherness, which surveys the work of the visual research band ikkibawiKrrr since 2021, has been released! The catalog includes images of the artist’s major works, such as Tropical Story (2022) and Seaweed Story (2022), along with introductory texts. You can also read an exhibition critique by Nam See Kim, a curatorial essay written by Jina Kim, and a conversation between independent curator Somi Sim and ikkibawiKrrr.

도슨트 학교 8기 The 8th Docent School |

아트선재센터의 전시 연계 배움 프로그램, 도슨트 학교 8기의 모집이 3월 4일부터 시작됩니다. 프로그램은 도슨트 스크립트 작성법, 작가와의 대화, 큐레이터 투어 등의 교육으로 구성되어 있으며, 교육 과정 이후에는 직접 전시 해설을 진행하게 됩니다. 도슨트의 역할과 실무에 관해 배울 수 있는 프로그램에 많은 관심과 참여 바랍니다!
The recruitment for the 8th Docent School, an exhibition-related learning program at Art Sonje Center, will begin on March 4th. The Docent School consists of training in docent script writing, conversations with artists, curator-led tours, and more. After the training, participants will conduct exhibition tours themselves. We hope there will be much interest and participation in this program, where you can learn about the role and practical work of a docent!
