City of the Bronx Officially Proclaims ‘ASEZ Day’

This past June, ASEZ carried out a series of cleanups in partnership with the Office of the Bronx Borough for a month. For context, New York City is composed of five boroughs—Manhattan, Queens, Brooklyn, the Bronx, and Staten Island. Each borough is represented by an elected official known as the Borough President, representing for the residents of their district. In the Bronx, that means 1.5 million people.

ASEZ Holds “Zero Plastic 2040” Youth Forum in Pretoria, Capital of South Africa

On July 27, 2025, to raise awareness about plastic pollution—the main culprit of environmental destruction—students from the University of Pretoria and Tshwane University of Technology organized the “Zero Plastic 2040” Youth Forum at the Church of God in Pretoria. The event came just one week after ASEZ conducted a “Plastic Pollution River Cleanup” at the Apies River.

ASEZ Holds World Peace Forum with Ambassadors from Latin America and the Caribbean

On Monday, June 23, the Washington, D.C. Branch of ASEZ hosted the Latin American and Caribbean Ambassadors Peace Forum, the first installment of ASEZ’s new World Peace Forum Series. The event united representatives from Latin America and the Caribbean with students, professionals, and community leaders to exchange insights on how diplomacy, youth leadership, and solidarity can serve as catalysts for building a peaceful and sustainable future.

Beyond simply being a source of water, the ocean protects Earth’s ecosystems and maintains climate balance. However, with industrialization, humanity became dependent on fossil fuels, and the resulting climate change now threatens the sea.
