👟Stepping Stone of Hope, Daehyun Scholarship Program |
|
|
BTF's Daehyun Scholarship Program is a scholarship project that has laid stepping stones of hope for 25 years since 2001 for youth who have experienced wounds from school violence or domestic violence, or struggle to pursue their dreams due to economic difficulties.
This program, which began honoring the name of the late Daehyun Kim who became the catalyst for BTF's establishment, aims to provide practical help so youth in difficult situations can design their futures without losing their dreams and hope. |

In 2025, 24 children met as Daehyun scholarship recipients and became strength for each other. Children who gathered from across the nation each carrying their own stories—Daehyun scholarship recipients are youth who hold hearts to rise again even amid difficult times and move forward step by step toward their dreams.
Children received scholarship certificates amid warm encouragement from adults who would be their strength and applause from steadfast guardians who always stayed by their sides. One child shyly shared impressions of receiving the scholarship:
"This scholarship isn't just money—it feels like proof that someone believes in me."

✍️ Finding the Path Together, Growth Mentoring |

The Daehyun Scholarship Program continues growth mentoring not only with scholarships, but to help children work through concerns they face in their growth process.
At this year's scholarship award ceremony, author Inpyo Cha made a surprise visit to share stories about his life as an actor and concerns and growth he experienced in the process of challenging novel writing.
Additionally, scholarship recipients are matched with university student mentors who meet online once monthly to share concerns about careers, academics, relationships, and check goals. By working through questions in their hearts together that would have been overwhelming alone, children develop the ability to think about their futures.

The Daehyun Scholarship Program annually provides cultural experience activities to help scholarship recipients build broad experiences and find emotional stability.
This year, a program was held where families who share children's daily lives most closely could create precious memories while completing special missions together at an amusement park.
"I can't remember the last time I took photos laughing with my child like this. Thank you for giving me time to fully focus on my child."

🎤 The Stage That Reconnected Young-hoon to the World |
|
|
Middle school 3rd grader Young-hoon (pseudonym) wanted to disconnect from the outside world with his face covered by a mask due to school violence repeated for one year. Young-hoon, who endured each day with a heavy heart including self-harm impulses and extreme thoughts, still had a dream he couldn't let go—the wish to become a singer.
After meeting the Daehyun Scholarship Program, Young-hoon began moving his dream from thoughts to 'action.' Learning to express emotions through music and the sense of achievement from his first debut performance stage of "I did it" became strength for Young-hoon to gradually escape from his heart that had been sharp toward himself.
Young-hoon is now moving forward healing his own heart through music and with an altruistic heart to comfort someone with similar pain. |

🥊'Tomorrow' Woo-young Grasped Again |
|
|
Middle school student Woo-young (pseudonym) was intimidated by fear of possibly meeting the perpetrator student again after school violence victimization. Woo-young enrolled in a boxing academy he had been interested in with the scholarship.
During continued training and competition preparation, Woo-young's days gradually changed. Confidence returned as much as time filled with sweat. He became able to protect himself even in situations where he would have shrunk back before.
Now Woo-young holds the dream of entering a physical education high school and steadily builds today's training toward tomorrow's goals.

Welcoming the new year, we recalled the love you sent and looked back at the past year of Daehyun scholarship recipients. Your love changed children's days, and that change continues even now.
In 2026 too, BTF will continue that love to more youth's tomorrows. We hope your year is also filled with love and growth. 💝
