Chris Song, Partner at Hyesung Accounting Corporation, recently participated in the Asia Financial Forum (AFF) hosted by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) in Hong Kong, engaging in extensive exchanges with key stakeholders across the global financial and investment ecosystem. AFF is one of Asia’s leading financial forums, bringing together financial institutions, asset managers, investment firms, corporate executives, and policymakers from around the world to discuss major issues and collaboration opportunities in the global financial markets.

During the forum, Mr. Song held multiple meetings with representatives of Hong Kong–based asset management companies and major investment institutions, exchanging views on the investment environment and potential areas of cooperation across Asian and global markets. In particular, discussions were held regarding the possibility of entering into MOUs aimed at expanding investment and advisory collaboration for Korean companies and investment institutions, laying the groundwork for mid- to long-term strategic partnerships.

Three of Hyesung’s client companies also participated in the forum, each engaging in meaningful activities aligned with their respective industries. Two fintech companies took part with the support of HKTDC, participating in exhibition booths and IR pitching sessions, where they directly engaged with global investors and potential business partners to explore opportunities for overseas collaboration and investment. In addition, one biotechnology company was invited to attend the “HK IPO Round Table” hosted by Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEX), where in-depth discussions were held on international capital market entry strategies and key IPO-related issues, including potential listing in Hong Kong.

Through its participation in the Asia Financial Forum, Hyesung gained first-hand insights into the latest trends shaping Hong Kong as a leading Asian financial hub, while also achieving meaningful outcomes by supporting its clients in creating tangible business opportunities on the global stage.
