01. Christmas Terms in Korean πŸŽ„β€οΈ

    1. 크리슀마슀/μ„±νƒ„μ ˆ
    2. 산타 할아버지
    3. λˆˆμ‚¬λžŒ
    4. μ„ λ¬Ό

    02. 크리슀마슀/μ„±νƒ„μ ˆ πŸŽ„

    • 크리슀마슀 (keu-ri-seu-ma-seu) πŸŽ„
    • μ„±νƒ„μ ˆ (seong-tan-jeol) 🎁

Both of these mean the same thing and if you already guessed, these are the two Korean words for Christmas!!!! You might be wondering why are there two words -- well the first one is just the romanized version of Christmas (a loan word from English)! Most people these days will say 크리슀마슀 and here is how you would say Merry Christmas in Korean with this term: 메리 크리슀마슀 !!!!! ❀️

The other term might be a first one for lots of you and that's because it is the original word for Christmas in Korean. It's not used as much these days but some people will still say it, so it is definitely worth knowing! Here is an example sentence: μ¦κ±°μš΄ μ„±νƒ„μ ˆ λ³΄λ‚΄μ„Έμš” πŸŽ„

    03. 산타 할아버지 πŸŽ…

Some of you might have already guessed what this is already but let me break it down haha! ❀️
    • 산타 (san-ta) : Korean word for santa (loan word)
    • 할아버지 (ha-ra-beo-ji): Korean word for grandfather

So this is the Korean word for santa! Yes, we call him Santa Grandpa -- kind of like Father Christmas + Santa combined! You'll probably hear kids in dramas saying this so make sure you know they're not actually talking about a grandpa hahah πŸŽ…
    04. 산타 할아버지 πŸŽ…
