2️⃣ Asian Projects and Original IP Gather in One Place:
APM & BSM Begin Today!
Asian Project Market (APM), Asia's first investment and co-production market, and Busan Story Market (BSM), a marketplace for film and audiovisual adaptation rights to original IP, both begin today.
Now in its 29th edition, APM has selected 30 projects from 17 countries out of a record 604 submissions. Since launching in 1998 as Pusan Promotion Plan (PPP), APM has discovered a total of 751 projects over the past 28 years. Of these, 326 have been completed, with APM titles continuing to receive invitations from leading international film festivals. This year's selections also bring together projects from a wide range of creators, from emerging Asian directors to internationally recognized mid-career filmmakers and veteran production teams.
BSM, which connects original IP such as books, webtoons, and web novels with opportunities for film and audiovisual adaptation, is further expanding its Asian IP collaboration network this year. Building on its existing partnerships with Taiwan and Japan, BSM is extending its network to include Hong Kong's Cultural and Creative Industries Development Agency (CCIDA) and Indonesia's JAFF Market. It is also launching a new Remake IP section with Thailand, this year's Country of Honor, presenting Thai feature films with strong remake potential.
Business meetings for the APM and BSM official selections will continue through 13 October, and meetings may also be booked on site.
