More than 1,500 university students from 500 universities in 40 countries attended the Global ASEZ Summit 2023. They had in-depth discussions on climate change mitigation and adaptation, crime prevention, and global citizenship initiatives, and they adopted the U500 [500 Universities] Joint Declaration for the happiness of humanity and the realization of a sustainable society. People from all walks of life signed the Declaration and agreed to lead a sustainable future by carrying out the six agendas.

ASEZ held the Global ASEZ Summit 2023 on July 6 at the New Jerusalem Pangyo Temple in Seongnam, Korea. Under the theme of “Sustainable Society and Environment,” more than 1,500 university students from 500 universities in 40 countries gathered and put their heads together. They had in-depth discussions on climate change mitigation and adaptation, crime prevention, and global citizenship initiatives, and they adopted the U500 [500 Universities] Joint Declaration for the happiness of humanity and the realization of a sustainable society.

Minister of Development and Social Inclusion of Peru Visits Korea and Attends ASEZ Forum as His First Schedule

While Minister of Development and Social Inclusion of Peru Julio Javier Demartini Montes was visiting Korea to attend the ministerial-level international conference of 46 countries, he attended the forum hosted by ASEZ and suggested the role of the next generation leaders who will achieve a sustainable future. The event was attended by the Peruvian Ambassador to Korea Paul Duclos and 500 university students from 40 countries, including Korea, the United States, and Germany. During his lecture, Minister Demartini highlighted the issues that the world faces through the situation of Peru, saying, “The global village is one big family.”

ASEZ, the university student volunteer group of the World Mission Society Church of God in Paranaque, Philippines, conducted a campaign to raise awareness of the importance of blue carbon, which absorbs greenhouse gases and carbon dioxide, the main culprits of global warming. They also carried out purification activities.
