올해 다크룸의 두번째 기획 《사라짐을 보는 기술 The Art of Seeing Obscurity》는 닻의 공모로 선정된 작가 김지현, 이진실, 최수정과 함께합니다. 세 명의 작가는 눈앞의 피사체를 선명하게 재현하는 데 목적을 두지 않습니다. 김지현 작가가 기록하고 있는 것은 부재에 가까운 풍경입니다. 작가는 한 장면과 다음 장면 사이에서 소멸한 리듬과 우연한 파장의 순간을 포착합니다. 이진실 작가는 사라진 시간의 층위를 풍경 속에 중첩시킵니다. 작가의 상상 속에서 재구성된, 투명하고 얇은 막에 가려진 풍경들은 익숙하고도 낯선 감각을 불러일으킵니다. 최수정 작가는 과거의 기억 속에 남겨진 그림자와 산화된 재와 같은 흔적들을 사진에 담아냅니다. 상처를 보듬고 다시 시작하는 과정 속에서 남겨진 이미지는 보는 이의 마음에 깊은 울림을 주는 한 편의 시와 같습니다. 더보기> |

The exhibition features Jihyun Kim, Jinsil Lee, and Soojung Choi, artists selected through Datz’s Open Call. The three artists do not seek to render the visible world with greater clarity. They linger with what remains uncertain and incomplete. For Jihyun Kim, photography approaches absence, tracing vanished rhythms and fleeting echoes of chance between images. Jinsil Lee layers forgotten time into the landscape. Reimagined through memory and imagination, her translucent images feel both intimate and unfamiliar, opening a space where remembrance becomes dreaming. For Soojung Choi, photography gathers traces left by memory, as delicate as oxidized ash. Emerging from wounds and renewal, her images resonate with the quiet intensity of poetry. Read More>

TLC(Think Like Clouds)는 보이지 않는 창작 과정을 보여주는 다크룸의 프로세스북으로, TLC 3호는 다크룸에서 열린 동명의 전시 ⟪사라짐을 보는 기술 The Art of Seeing Obscurity⟫와 함께 출간되었습니다. 김지현, 이진실, 최수정 세 명의 작가는 쉽게 정의되거나 설명되지 않는 감각과 기억, 그리고 인간 내면의 모호한 풍경에 주목합니다. 이들은 각기 다른 방식으로 부재의 풍경과 시간의 층위, 삶에 남겨진 흔적을 사진 속에 담아냅니다. 더보기>

TLC(Think Like Cloud) is a D’Ark Room magazine that shows the invisible process behind creative activity. TLC vol.3 “The Art of Seeing Obscurity” covers an exhibition of the same name held at the D’Ark Room. 다가오는 7월 23일부터 26일까지, 올해로 10주년을 맞이한 샌프란시스코 아트북 페어에 닻프레스가 참가합니다. 전 세계의 독립 출판사와 예술가, 디자이너, 컬렉터들이 한자리에 모여 다채로운 예술 출판을 소개하고 교류하는 자리가 될 것 입니다. 닻프레스는 이번 페어에서 신간 『TLC Vol.3 The Art of Seeing Obscurity』와 작가 살 테일러 키드의 『in the midday silver』 를 처음 선보일 예정이며, 그 외 18종의 책을 함께 소개합니다. 더보기> |

We're excited to be returning to the 10th anniversary of the San Francisco Art Book Fair this July. The fair will bring together independent publishers, artists, designers, and collectors from around the world to celebrate the diversity of art publishing.
