Interesting Story about Light Science

Hello All,
My name is A-Young Lee, a head of OHC (Our Healthcare Committee).
We would like to share with whom we appreciate most some interesting topics about light science. We plan to briefly organize the scientific story behind the light including what is Photon and how the photon affects earthly plants and animals, and send them weekly from this week to the end of the year.

Today, Dr. Soo-Young Moon, an OHC Advisor, will tell you about the photon and the atom.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The light that accompanied the beginning of the world was created by the fusion reaction of hydrogen atoms in the sun.
Light, as photons, is a particle-based energy source that affects all plants and animals on the Earth as well in the seas.

An atoms is the smallest constituent unit of ordinary matter, is composed of a nucleus and electrons that circulate around it, and the nature of these electrons is similar to that of photons.

So what is the size of an atom?
To expand a single hydrogen atom in scale with to the size of an apple, that apple would have to expand to the size of the Earth. Put another way, if a single apple was expanded to the size of the Earth, each atom would be the size of the original apple.
The human body is composed of atoms.
