Trinity River Park Cleanup: “Let’s Create a Clean and Beautiful Community”

On May 2, 2024, about 25 ASEZ members in the state of Texas, U.S. gathered to clean up Trinity River Park. This day was a part of the ASEZ Blue Carbon (ABC) Movement, which ASEZ is actively carrying out to achieve the UN SDGs and protect the marine ecosystem. |

On May 7, ASEZ University Student Volunteer Group carried out a street cleanup campaign at Pusan National University to support the implementation of the UN SDGs. ASEZ in Busan explained the purpose of this activity by saying, “University students have come together with passion and enthusiasm to take the lead in protecting the earth, which is suffering from climate change and environmental pollution, and to protect humanity and all living organisms.” |

The theme of World Environment Day 2024 is land restoration, desertification, and drought resilience. On April 29, a total of 30 ASEZ members from four universities—MIT, Harvard University, Tufts University, and Bunker Hill Community College—recognized this urgency and gathered in Everett, MA, U.S., to plant trees.

On the earth, there are various ecosystems where diverse organisms coexist, maintaining relationships with each other to survive on our planet. These organisms affect each other’s lives and help maintain balance within their respective ecosystems. Collectively, we refer to the richness of all species surviving on the earth, the variety of ecosystems they inhabit, and the diversity of genes they possess as biodiversity. |
