《하종현 5975》는 1959 년부터 1975 년까지 격동적인 한국 사회의 변화 속에서 탄생한 하종현의 초기 작업을 집중적으로 조명하는 전시입니다. 앵포르멜 작업부터 초기 단색화 작업까지, 물질의 특성을 활용한 다양한 기법 실험으로 회화의 한계에 도전한 작가의 탐구를 따라갑니다. 이번 전시를 통해 작가가 다룬 물질과 회화적 기법이 당시 한국의 시대적 맥락과 어떻게 상호작용하며 발전했는지 살펴보시길 바랍니다.
Ha Chong-Hyun 5975 is an exhibition dedicated to the early works of Ha Chong-Hyun, spanning the years 1959 to 1975. This exhibition explores how Ha’s materials and techniques evolved in dynamic interaction with the socio-historical context of South Korea. His early works reflect the artist’s response to the upheavals of Korean modern history, including the Korean War, rapid industrialization, and urbanization. Expanding his experiments with diverse materials and their materialities, the exhibition provides an opportunity to reflect on how he reimagined social realities and personal experiences, challenging the boundaries of painting and exploring its possibilities through experimental approaches.

그레이코드, 지인의 《공기에 관하여》는 컴퓨터 발생음이 만들어낸 물리적 진동이 예술적 사건으로 변환되는 과정을 탐구하는 공연입니다. 현장성과 실시간성에 의해 매 순간 변주되는 이 감각적 경험은 공기의 진동과 공간의 특수성에 의해 다르게 전해집니다. 아트선재센터 아트홀에서 50분간 이어지는 <공기에 관하여>는 소리와 진동을 매개로 작가와 관객이 동일한 시공간을 공유함을 함축적으로 드러냅니다. 27일 진행되는 첫 번째 공연 이후에는 작가와의 대화가 예정되어 있으니 많은 관심 바랍니다!

Quivering Air is a concert that explores the process of transforming physical vibrations created by computer-generated sounds into artistic events. This sensory experience, which varies with each moment due to the site-specificity and real-time nature, is conveyed differently by the vibrations of air and the uniqueness of the space. Lasting 50 minutes at the Art Hall, Quivering Air implicitly reveals the shared space-time between the artist and the audience through sound and vibration. Following the first concert on the 27th, an artist talk will also be held, so we hope you show great interest!

도슨트 전시해설을 통해 하종현의 작업을 더 깊이 있게 이해해 보세요! 도슨트 프로그램은 전시 기간 중 매일 오후 2시와 4시에 진행됩니다.
2025. 2. 14. – 2025. 4. 20. Explore Ha Chong-Hyun's work in more depth through the exhibition tour by the Art Sonje Center's docent! Docent-guided tour is held daily at 2 PM and 4 PM during the exhibition period.
