🌏 NAFF: A Global Hub for Genre Filmmakers
— 26 Projects from 11 Countries Unveiled!
The official selection for the 2025 NAFF Project Market has been announced!
This year, the call for submissions attracted a total of 232 projects from 39 countries, reflecting NAFF’s continued role as a dynamic platform for global genre storytelling. The selected projects demonstrate a strong focus on diversity, encompassing adaptations based on original IPs, as well as a range of serialized formats.
Reinstated in 2022, the Work in Progress section returns this year, enriching the market’s offerings.
The 2025 edition of the NAFF Project Market will present a total of 26 projects, including:
- 14 NAFF It Project selections
- 5 titles from Project Spotlight: Korea
- 1 Blood Window selection
- 1 Sitges FanPitch selection
- 1 Fantastic 7 (Cannes) selection
- 4 Work in Progress selections

All of BIFAN's educatoinal programs are now gathered
under the name of "Fantastic Film School" !
Since its launch in 2009, Fantastic Film School, which is now in its 17th year, has established itself as a representative domestic film education program, producing over 400 participants over the past 16 years. Starting in 2025, Fantastic Film School plans to rebrand itself by unifying BIFAN's educational and production support programs into one. It will support film production by strengthening its the hands-on workshop program that actually produces short films, and will encourage the use of AI that can bring imaginative and creative visions of the genre to life. Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival continues to champion all creators who dream of making films and videos. Stay Strange!

This year features “The Secret Message of the Kitty Phone” by Papri Studio, the winning piece of the Sanrio Virtual Festival, and the “France XR Focus: Immersive Future” section presented in collaboration with the French Cultural Center, presenting three experimental and sensory XR works from Europe, premiering in Korea. Additionally, the ‘Beyond Science’ section supported by the Korea Foundation for the Advancement of Science&Creativity(KOFAC) and other high-quality XR works covering diverse themes from home and abroad will also be on display.
