The 2026 LCK regular season rounds 1–2 will officially open on April 1 (Wed.) at LoL Park in Jongno, Seoul, running for nine weeks Wednesday through Sunday each week. Gen.G, who claimed the LCK Cup title with a dominant performance to solidify their position as the team to beat, faces a demanding schedule from the outset — taking on KT in the Week 1 Saturday Showdown, T1 in Week 2, and Hanwha Life Esports, looking to rebound following a roster overhaul, in Week 3. With high-profile matchups against championship contenders lined up from day one, Gen.G's early-season matches are expected to draw considerable attention.

The 2026 Mid-Season Invitational (MSI) will be held at Daejeon Convention Center (DCC) Hall 2 from June 28 to July 12. Alongside the World Championship, MSI stands as one of the two premier international LoL esports tournaments, with League of Legends accounting for 27% of global esports viewership. Last year's final in Vancouver set all-time MSI records with a peak concurrent viewership of 3.44 million and a total watch time of 75.3 million hours. During the tournament, an estimated 80,000 domestic and international fans are expected to visit Daejeon, generating an economic impact of over 100 billion KRW. The LCK representative selection event will precede the main tournament, taking place June 12–14 at Wonju Gymnasium in Gangwon Province, with LoL fans nationwide expected to tune in as MSI qualification hangs in the balance.

Riot Games has announced that the 2026 VCT Pacific Stage 1 Finals will be held in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, marking the first-ever VCT event in the country as part of a Southeast Asia roadshow. The tournament runs from April through May, with 12 teams divided into two groups of six competing in a single round-robin format, and the top four from each group advancing to a double-elimination playoff. The top three finishers from Stage 1 will earn qualification for VALORANT Masters London, scheduled for June 6–21. The Stage 2 Finals are set to follow in Busan, South Korea in September, continuing Riot's Asia regional touring format.

Gen.G has signed 2010-born VALORANT prospect 'Xiesta' (Jeong Si-hwan) to a four-year contract — the longest in the organization's history. Having risen through Gen.G Academy since 2023, Xiesta earned recognition by reaching No. 1 on the Asian server and is widely regarded as the next ace to succeed franchise player 't3xture.' For the coming year, he will be loaned to Onside Gaming to compete in VCT Challengers Korea, as VCT Pacific requires players to be at least 18 years of age.
