What's Korea Legacy up to in January?
What happened at KLC in the first month of 2024?

Hello KLC family,

This is the first Legacy Letter of 2024! Is everyone keeping their New Year's resolutions well, even though it's already the last week of the first month of the year? To those who are consistently keeping their resolutions, we applaud you. To those who may have encountered some setbacks, KLC sends you a round of applause to help you get started again. We still have Lunar New Year left! We hope you will also send KLC words of encouragement and support. Here is a look at KLC's first steps in 2024! 👇👀👇

What's new at KLC?

Del Monte Korea donation!

Del Monte Korea, a household name when it comes to pineapples, donated 300 pineapples to KLC for the elderly. KLC has a close relationship with the American Women’s Club of Korea (AWC), which helped facilitate the donation. Thanks to Del Monte and AWC, KLC was able to deliver these vitamin-packed pineapples to the elderly living in the alleyways. :)

First volunteer collaboration of 2024!

On January 25, 2024, KLC held its first volunteer collaboration with Open Arms. The first volunteer activity was Dog Therapy, where children and dogs spent time together taking pictures and drawing pictures of the dogs. The children and dogs had a great time together. We hope you’ll look forward to future volunteer activities with Open Arms children.🐾

👨‍🍳Chef’s Night with Chef Kim Hyunsik!

Just yesterday, on January 28, KLC hosted a Chef's Night with Chef Kim Hyunsik. The event was a huge success, with 27 supporters in attendance. The seven-course meal included dishes such as monkfish liver tart and king crab rice, all paired with specially selected wines. The atmosphere was electric as guests enjoyed the feast of seafood flavors. If you missed out, be sure not to miss the next Chef's Night! Here are a few photos from the event.😉
